BMW
Established on March 7, 1916, BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke GmbH) has
now became one of the major automobile manufacturers in the
International market. The company is a world wide manufacturer of high
performance premium automobiles and motorcycles. It is the present
current company of both the MINI and Rolls-Royce car brands.
On the commencement of the year 2007, BMW is supposed to start
manufacturing and selling cars in India. In addition to its sales
subdiary in Delhi region, it will start operating an assembly plant for
BMW 5 and 3 series in Chennai. Just after establishing its plants in the
various cities of India, the company wish to capture the entire market
of metropolitan cities.
The total world production of BMW Motors in the year 2006 was 1,366,838
vehicles produced in the five locations of different countries. BMW has
been engaged in motor sports activities since the dawn of the first BMW
motorcycle. They also manufacture Formula cars, Touring cars and Sports
cars.
